Wolves sack manager Vítor Pereira as win-less season continues

Wolves have sacked head coach Vitor Pereira after their winless start to the Premier League season continued with a 3-0 defeat at Fulham on Saturday. Wolves’ defeat at Craven Cottage followed a first-half red card to defender Emmanuel Agbadou, with Pereira subjected to chants of “you’re getting sacked in the morning” by the travelling fans. The Portuguese tactician signed a new contract at the Molineux just 45 days ago.

Leeds add to West Ham’s early season woes

Leeds claimed their first Premier League win at home since the opening day of the season to pile on the problems for dismal West Ham. The result lifted Daniel Farke’s men up to 13th in the table, while the visitors remain second bottom after a seventh loss in nine league games. Premier League winner Jamie Vardy will leave Leicester after 13 seasons at the end of the current campaign, the club have announced. The 38-year-old England striker, a key member of the team which lifted the title against the odds in 2016, will depart with almost 500 appearances for the club to his name in the wake of a relegation he has described as “such a s*** show”.

Southampton sack manager Ivan Jurić following relegation

Southampton have reached an agreement with manager Ivan Juric to leave following relegation from the Premier League on Sunday. Juric was appointed as Russell Martin’s successor on an 18-month deal in December but has won just two of his 16 matches. Sunday’s 3-1 defeat at Tottenham consigned the rock-bottom Saints to the earliest relegation in Premier League history with eight games still to play.

Manchester City looked like their old selves as they recorded the biggest Premier League win of the season by thrashing struggling Ipswich at Portman Road to move back into the top four.
