Hosts Germany thrashed 10-man Scotland 5-1 on Friday with three goals in the first half to make a triumphant start to their Euro 2024 campaign and lay down a marker with the biggest opening-game margin of victory in the tournament’s history. Niclas Füllkrug scored a brilliant first half winner as Borussia Dortmund beat Paris Saint Germain 1-0 in a frenetic first leg of their Champions League semi-final. The German international used his right foot to expertly bring down a long ball before hammering home with his left.
