The 22 year old Slovenian international is viewed as a potential replacement for want-a-way forward Alexander Isak but the Bundesliga club have also received an offer from Manchester United who are eager to bolster their attacking options ahead of the new season.

Newcastle are in talks with Southampton over a move for goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale. The deal under discussion is for a loan with an option to buy. Personal terms are not expected to be a problem.
