Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won the inaugural Miami Grand Prix after passing the Ferrari duo of Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz. The Dutchman leapfrogged Sainz off the line before biding his time to utilise his superior straight line speed to pass championship rival Leclerc.

Ferrari locked out the front row of the grid ahead of the inaugural Miami Grand Prix tomorrow. Charles Leclerc pipped Carlos Sainz to pole while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was forced to back out of his final lap after going wide early in the lap. His teammate Sergio Perez starts fourth ahead of Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas who was a surprise fifth.
