The news comes in the wake of a 5-3 loss at home to Villarreal that leaves the Catalans 10 points off top spot in La Liga after a mid-week exit from the Copa del Rey. The Italian, 64, was appointed at the Bernabeu for a second time in 2021 on an initial three-year deal.
