Verstappen claims pole for Miami Sprint ahead of Leclerc

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen beat Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc to take pole position for the sprint race at the Miami Grand Prix. The Dutchman was 0.108 seconds quicker than Leclerc, with Red Bull’s Sergio Perez third ahead of Daniel Ricciardo’s RB in a surprise fourth place. The Mercedes duo of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton both failed to reach the final shootout.

Leclerc takes pole ahead of inaugural Miami GP

Ferrari locked out the front row of the grid ahead of the inaugural Miami Grand Prix tomorrow. Charles Leclerc pipped Carlos Sainz to pole while Red Bull’s Max Verstappen was forced to back out of his final lap after going wide early in the lap. His teammate Sergio Perez starts fourth ahead of Alfa Romeo’s Valtteri Bottas who was a surprise fifth.
