Belgian footballer Radja Nainggolan has been arrested as part of an investigation into cocaine trafficking. The 36-year-old was one of several suspects apprehended by Belgian police on Monday morning, after a series of raids were carried out across the country. Nainggolan played for the Belgian national team as well as Serie A giants AS Roma and Inter Milan.

Former Scotland, Manchester United and Manchester City striker Denis Law – the only Scottish player to have won the Ballon d’Or – has died at the age of 84. The man dubbed ‘The King’ and ‘The Lawman’ spent 11 years at Old Trafford, his 237 goals in 404 appearances placing him third in United’s history behind Wayne Rooney and Bobby Charlton.

Graham Potter says he is looking forward to a “big challenge” after being confirmed as the new West Ham manager. The 49-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the London club, who sacked Julen Lopetegui on Wednesday after six months in charge. Former Republic of Ireland striker Robbie Keane has been appointed manager of Hungarian powerhouse Ferencvaros. Keane, the Republic of Ireland’s record cap holder and goalscorer, left Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv last June after a year in charge. Ferencvaros are second in the Hungarian league and 16th in the Europa League table.
