Jasper Philipsen won a wind-swept and sodden Stage 15 of La Vuelta on Thursday, outlasting Pascal Ackermann and Jannik Steimle in a reduced sprint finish. Primoz Roglic took his fourth victory of La Vuelta winning the Stage 13 time trial on a challenging course that finished with the steep Mirador de Ezaro climb. Carthy wins stage 12 as Roglic loses Red to Carapaz – Vuelta a Espana

Hugh Carthy put in a performance for the ages to win Stage 12 of La Vuelta on the fearsome Alto de l’Angliru. Richard Carapaz took the red jersey back off Primoz Roglic but the Jumbo-Visma man combined with teammate Sepp Kuss to limit his losses to just 10 seconds going into the second rest day.
