Holders Arsenal needed extra-time as they booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 2-0 victory against Newcastle at the Emirates Stadium. Goalscorer Emile Smith Rowe had a straight red card downgraded to a booking following a pitch side review by the referee.
