Aston Martin’s Sebastian Vettel has been ruled out of the season opening Bahrain Grand Prix after testing positive for Covid-19. Nico Hülkenberg will replace the four time World Champion this weekend. Vettel is the second driver to come down with Covid this season following Daniel Ricciardo’s positive test last week.

Sergio Perez will partner Max Verstappen at Red Bull for the 2021 Formula 1 season. The Mexican replaces Alexander Albon who will remain at the team as a reserve driver. 30 year old Perez was set to leave the sport after Racing Point signed Sebastian Vettel however Albon’s disappointing season opened the door for him to remain in the sport.
