Goals from Nicolò Barella and Lorenzo Insigne fired Italy to a 1-2 victory past Belgium and into the semi-final of Euro 2020 where they will face Spain. Italy and Belgium traded chances before Barella and Insigne gave the Italians a two goal cushion however a Romelu Lukaku penalty gave Belgium a lifeline before the break.

Spain survived a real scare seeing off Switzerland 3-1 on penalties following a 1-1 draw to reach the semi-finals of EURO 2020. A Denis Zakaria own goal gave Spain an early lead but the Swiss persevered and drew level through Xherdan Shaqiri. Their task was made more difficult following the dismissal of Remo Freuler and ultimately Spain held their nerve from the spot.

Tottenham Hotspur have ended their long search for a new manager by announcing the appointment of former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo as their new manager. The 47 year old Portuguese has signed a two year deal at the London club and replaces Ryan Mason who has been caretaker coach since the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

Artem Dovbyk scored a late winner in extra-time as Ukraine saw off ten man Sweden to line up a quarter-final tie against England at Euro 2020. Oleksandr Zinchenko had give Ukraine the lead before Emil Forsberg brought Sweden level just before half-time. The dismissal of Marcus Danielson in extra-time proved costly for the Scandinavians.
