Mark Travers completes Everton move

Everton have completed the signing of goalkeeper Mark Travers on a four-year contract until the end of June 2029. The 26-year-old Republic of Ireland international joins the Blues from Bournemouth, where he spent nine years after signing in 2016. Chelsea and Aston Villa have been fined by Uefa for breaching the European governing body’s financial rules. competitions for the forthcoming season unless they have a positive transfer balance by the end of the summer transfer window. Chelsea have been fined 31m euros (£26.7m) and could be fined a further 60m euros (£51.2m) if they do not comply with the rules in the next four years.

Liverpool reject Bayern Munich approach for Diaz

Liverpool have formally rejected an approach from Bayern Munich for their 28-year-old Colombian winger Luis Diaz. Bayern’s recruitment chief Max Eberl was informed that Liverpool have no intention or desire to enter discussions, with communication ended immediately. Diaz was also subject to interest from Barcelona earlier this summer.
