Everton moved up to second in the Premier League while piling more misery on Arsenal with a 2-1 victory at Goodison Park. Everton took the lead when a Dominic Calvert-Lewin header deflected off Rob Holding and into his own net but Arsenal levelled with Nicolas Pepe. Manchester City’s hopes of closing the gap on the Premier League pacesetters were frustrated as they were held to a draw at home to lowly West Bromwich Albion. City took the lead on the half hour through Ilkay Gundogan but a deflected shot in the 43rd minute earned the Baggies a draw.
