Premier League leaders Arsenal survived a second-half scare at Tottenham to hold on for a 3-2 north London derby victory that cemented their place at the top. A 23-minute blitz saw the Gunners race into a 3-0 lead through a Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg own goal, Bukayo Saka finish and Kai Havertz header but an error from David Raya opened the door for Spurs to hit back through Cristian Romero and a Heung-min Son penalty.

Sheffield United’s relegation from the Premier League was confirmed as Newcastle recovered from a sluggish start to thrash Chris Wilder’s side at St James’ Park.
