Argentina advanced to the knockout stages of the World Cup with a 2-0 victory over Poland in their final Group C match. Argentina’s victory moved the South American side to the top of the group and they will face Australia in the last-16 while second-placed Poland take on reigning champions France.

Mexico defeated Saudi Arabia 2-1 but agonisingly went out of the World Cup on goal difference on a night of incredible drama in Doha. El Tri needed one more goal to progress but a 94th minute Saudi counter attack spelled disaster as they narrowly crashed out.
