Piastri takes championship lead with victory in Saudi Arabia

McLaren’s Oscar Piastri took his third win of the year and with it the world championship lead at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Piastri benefited from a penalty for Red Bull’s Max Verstappen who finished second while Ferrari recorded their first podium finish of the season through Charles Leclerc. McLaren’s Lando Norris recovered from 10th place on the grid after his crash in qualifying to finish fourth but sees his teammate leapfrog him in the standings.

Championship leader Lando Norris crashed out of qualifying at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and will start 10th as Max Verstappen beat the Briton’s McLaren team-mate Oscar Piastri to pole position. Manchester United dragged their season out of the ashes in quite extraordinary fashion as they scored twice in stoppage time of extra time to complete a staggering comeback from 4-2 down against 10-man Lyon at Old Trafford. Saka and Martinelli fire Arsenal past Real Madrid into final four

Bukayo Saka scored a goal and missed a penalty as Arsenal held off Real Madrid to reach the Champions League semi-finals in an incident-packed match at the Bernabeu. Saka stepped up but his weak, dinked effort was saved by Thibaut Courtois. However he made amends when he effectively killed off the tie with a fantastic chipped second-half finish. Real hit back through Vinicius Junior but a late winner from Gabriel Martinelli capped off a glorious night for the Gunners.
