Red Bull have unveiled their title-defending car for Formula 1 2023 and announced a major new engine partnership with Ford.
The Ford deal – while not kicking in until 2026 – was the headline of the launch, with the American manufacturing giant to return to F1 for the first time in 22 years to part-fund the engine Red Bull are designing for the new regulations.
Tadhg Furlong has been ruled out of Ireland’s 2023 Six Nations opener vs Wales in Cardiff, in a major blow for Andy Farrell’s side. Furlong, who has only played 36 minutes of rugby since the autumn internationals, has failed to recover from a calf injury, leaving Connacht’s Finlay Bealham to start at tighthead prop.

Manchester United eased through their EFL Cup semi-final second-leg with Nottingham Forest to book a 1999 Wembley rematch with Newcastle. Second-half goals from Anthony Martial and Fred ensured victory on the night for Erik ten Hag’s side, even though a place in the final was virtually secure anyway thanks to their 3-0 first-leg triumph at the City Ground.

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte says surgery to remove his gallbladder “has gone well” and he is now beginning his recovery before his return to the club. The 53-year-old Italian required an operation on Wednesday after he was diagnosed with cholecystitis, an inflammation of the gallbladder.
